About the Owner
Because I was raised by a single mother in a very matriarchal family, I had a front-row seat to witness the dedication and stamina of hardworking women. I started working at the age of 15 and discovered that I had a knack for customer service. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and thought I would pursue a career in the corporate world. Ultimately, the passion wasn’t there, and so I began to ask myself what made me happy.
I realized that being an entrepreneur is ingrained in who I am, and that I’ve always been inspired by strong women.
And so Whimsy & Co. was born in 2017! It’s based on the principle of doing what we’re good at, representing something we love, and benefiting the greater good. My goal is to bring beautiful, attainable handcrafted jewelry and small home goods to consumers all over the United States. I partner with wholesale companies that have direct interactions with the communities and artisan co-ops who are working to improve their lives and break the cycle of poverty. Each company I work with is certified by the Fair Trade Federation. I’m so excited to use my entrepreneurial personality in a unique way, while impacting the fair trade mission.
Because each of these works of art are one-of-a-kind, I curate a limited number of each item. Once they sell out, I may or may not be able to get more. You will truly feel these pieces are priceless and you can bet very few people will have the exact same item!
